White is another one of those paints that seems incredibly simple until you actually start using it. It's essential for highlights, eyes, teeth, skulls, armour and all sorts of small details, but it can also be surprisingly useful for mixing lighter shades.
I tend to prefer a good matt white rather than something that's too stark or glossy. It gives you a clean finish and makes it much easier to control the final look of a miniature.
