Wraithbone is a warm, off-white acrylic paint from Citadel's Base range, designed to provide smooth, consistent coverage on miniatures and models. Its slightly creamy tone makes it particularly useful for bone, parchment, cloth, armour and as a light basecoat for other colours.

Wraithbone works particularly well as a base for bone and parchment. Apply a brown or sepia wash into the recesses, then bring the raised areas back up with Wraithbone before adding a lighter highlight where needed.

It's also one of the classic choices for using Contrast paints. Compared with a pure white base, its warmer tone can give the finished colours a slightly richer appearance.

A very useful off-white that deserves a place on the painting desk, particularly if you use Contrast paints or regularly paint bone, parchment and lighter colour schemes.
