Keppet's Tip
Rakarth Flesh is one of those colours that can be incredibly useful when you want something softer and more natural than a bright cream or white. It's a muted, earthy tone that works particularly well for aged bone, parchment, cloth and lighter skin tones.
I also really like it as a starting point for highlighting darker browns and greys. Add a little white to it and you've got plenty of options for gradually building up lighter tones without jumping straight to pure white.
Citadel Base Paint – Rakarth Flesh (12ml)
Rakarth Flesh is a muted, earthy beige acrylic paint from Citadel's Base range, designed to provide smooth, consistent coverage on miniatures and models. Its neutral, slightly warm tone makes it particularly useful for bone, parchment, cloth, skin and other natural details.

Rakarth Flesh works particularly well as the foundation for aged bone and parchment. Try applying a brown or sepia wash into the recesses, then bring the raised areas back up with Rakarth Flesh before adding a lighter cream or white highlight.
It's also a really useful colour for muted clothing, leather and skin tones, particularly when you want a more natural, weathered appearance rather than something bright and saturated. A versatile neutral that you'll find plenty of uses for once it's on the painting desk.
