Keppet's Tip

Knight-Questor Flesh is a great mid-tone flesh colour that gives you a solid starting point for painting human skin without being too pale or too dark. It's particularly useful when you want a warm, natural-looking skin tone that can then be shaded and highlighted.

I like using colours like this as the middle step in a simple three-stage approach: basecoat, shade into the recesses, then bring the raised areas back up with the original colour before adding a lighter highlight.

Citadel Base Paint – Knight-Questor Flesh (12ml)

Knight-Questor Flesh is a warm, medium flesh-tone acrylic paint from Citadel's Base range, designed to provide smooth, consistent coverage on miniatures and models. It is particularly useful for painting skin and other warm, natural areas.

Key Features

  • Genuine Citadel Base Paint
  • Warm, medium flesh tone
  • Ideal for painting skin and flesh
  • Suitable for basecoating and layering
  • Water-based acrylic formula
  • Supplied in a 12ml flip-top pot

Perfect For

Citadel Base Paints are suitable for:

  • Warhammer 40,000
  • Warhammer Age of Sigmar
  • The Horus Heresy
  • Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game
  • Dungeons & Dragons miniatures
  • Scale modelling and other miniature painting projects

Knight-Questor Flesh works particularly well as the foundation for a simple skin-painting recipe. Apply a flesh or brown wash to define the recesses, then bring the raised areas back up with Knight-Questor Flesh before adding a lighter flesh tone to the most prominent areas.

It's also useful for mixing custom flesh tones. Add a little Rakarth Flesh or Wraithbone to create a lighter highlight, or introduce a darker brown to create a deeper shade. A dependable flesh colour that's easy to work with and has plenty of uses beyond just painting faces.
